The Colorado, Utah and the neighboring States is one more growing soccer regions in the country, anchored by two Major League Soccer clubs (the Colorado Rapids in Denver and Real Salt Lake) and a pub culture built around supporter groups, British pubs, and Irish bars. This guide to the best soccer bars in the Mountain West covers eleven verified venues across Denver and Salt Lake City. Several are official club bar partners or supporter-group homes, from The Celtic on Market, the official home of the Rapids' Centennial 38, to Piper Down and Poplar Street, both official Real Salt Lake watch-party venues. The rest are British and Irish pubs and large sports rooms with confirmed live coverage of the Premier League and world soccer.
As a relatively new “local” of Colorado, I am researching for my own allegiance to Arsenal and while I enjoy the daily World Cup matchups. We note where a venue is a general sports bar or a traditional pub rather than a soccer-first room, we say so and tell you to confirm the match will be on the main screens before you go. Denver is not a 2026 World Cup host city, but it proved its soccer credentials in 2026: the Rapids drew 75,824 fans against Inter Miami, the second-largest crowd at any MLS game ever, and the city built a free downtown Soccer Celebration fan zone at Skyline Park for the tournament. This is an initial list, so drop a comment if we missed a soccer bar in the Mountain West that belongs here.

The Celtic on Market grew out of the original Celtic Tavern, which two founders from Wales and Galway opened in Denver in 2000, and moved to its Market Street home in LoDo in 2017. It is the official home of Centennial 38, the Colorado Rapids' largest supporters group, and has been called the spiritual home of Denver soccer.

The British Bulldog is a small, iconic English pub in Curtis Park that lives by the motto Football is Life. It opens its doors as early as 5am on Saturdays when games are on live, and it is the Denver home for the Colorado Rapids supporter group the Stout Street Bulldogs and for AO Denver, the local American Outlaws chapter.

The Abbey Tavern is a neighborhood Irish pub on East Colfax known for a perfect pint of Guinness and a warm, local feel. It hosts all Liverpool games and is the gathering spot for the city's Liverpool supporters, alongside traditional Irish music on Sundays.

The DNVR Bar is the home base of the DNVR sports-media network on East Colfax, built for fans who love Denver and all of its teams. It is a regular gathering spot for Colorado Rapids fans and hosts official watch parties for the Denver Summit, the city's NWSL club.

Stoney's is a locally owned, Colorado-themed sports and music bar in the heart of downtown Denver at 11th and Lincoln. It is an official Colorado Rapids bar partner and became a hub for the city's French community during the 2026 World Cup.

Pints Pub is a traditional British brew pub near the Denver Art Museum that has aimed to be a proper local since 1993.

Mudrock's is Louisville's local, family-owned restaurant, craft beer tap room, and sports bar, established in 2013. This has been my local bar for the last 6 years and is the best sports bar on this side of Boulder County. Great ownership, staff, and fellow sports bar fans.

The Hungry Toad has honored the British-pub tradition in North Boulder since 1991, originally brought stateside from County Surrey, England, by founder Terry Morton. When Morton retired after more than 30 years, two longtime patrons reopened the pub in November 2022 under the motto God Save The Toad, and I find it as your go-to soccer pub in Boulder.

The Sportsbook Bar & Grill is a locally owned sports bar in the Denver Tech Center, with additional locations in Highlands Ranch and beyond. The Greenwood Village flagship reopened after a fire following a multimillion-dollar rebuild, and it openly invites fans to follow their club from the English Premier League, Serie A, Ligue 1, and MLS. I’ve been here several times when visiting friend in the area.

Lariat Lodge opened on Halloween in 2015 as Evergreen's first brewpub, built into a hillside in a historic, federally designated building two minutes east of Downtown Evergreen overlooking Bear Creek. It is an official craft beer sponsor of the Colorado Rapids and brews a Ninety-Six IPA named for the club's founding year, with a second location in Littleton near Red Rocks.

Cheluna is a Mexican-American craft brewery at Stanley Marketplace in Aurora, founded by Javier Perez Koch and Jennifer Perez and built around the heritage of Mexican lagers. It is an official Colorado Rapids bar partner and, by the club's own account, has been televising futbol and Rapids matches for nine years, a multi-time Great American Beer Festival medal winner along the way.

Piper Down has been a staple of the Salt Lake community since 2003 - it was actually inspired by a honeymoon in Dublin's Temple Bar district. Based in the Ballpark neighborhood, it's an official Real Salt Lake watch-party spot and one of the most authentic places in the city to catch a match.

Fiddler's is the official home of the Utah Gooners, Salt Lake City's Arsenal supporters club, right in the heart of Sugar House. This place was originally Fiddler's Elbow back in the 90s, then closed down... reopened in mid 2025 under new ownership as simply Fiddler's - and it's a reborn Sugar House sports bar.

Legends has been a staple of the Salt Lake community since 2009 and is the official home of the SLC Spurs, the Tottenham Hotspur supporters club, along with Aston Villa supporters. This place has 45-plus screens and seats up to 380, making it the top spot for soccer fans in all of the me

Poplar Street Pub is an institution in Salt Lake City - it's a three-floor, three-bar deal that's been a downtown staple for years. Plus it's the official RSL watch-party venue. RSL Soapbox, a pretty big deal for RSL fans, has said it's one of the truest soccer bars in Salt Lake. Get yourself down there & you'll be surrounded by all the trappings of the sport - soccer scarves on the walls, staff who know how to pour a proper Guinness and all that jazz.

Flanker Kitchen + Sporting Club is a massive 17,500-square-foot complex in The Gateway near the Delta Center. It's run by Carver Road Hospitality and it's one of the biggest and most immersive sports venues in Salt Lake City. They broadcast every RSL match and all the big soccer events.
There are a whole load of other great places to catch a game in the region, and we've got 15 in-depth profiles up on our site but for now, here are some other solid recommendations from around the area. We've checked these out and confirmed they're worth a visit, with a confirmed live website to boot - just make sure to call ahead and check what match they've got on before you head on over.
The Green Pig Pub (Downtown Salt Lake City, UT). https://thegreenpigpub.com
This place is a real hidden gem - a downtown Salt Lake City pub & sports bar with loads of screens to catch the game on, a rooftop patio to soak up the sunshine, and some live music to get the party started. Just bear in mind it's a general pub, so they might not always be showing soccer - so give 'em a shout and check what match they've got on before you head on out.
Guthrie's Sports Bar & Grill (Colorado Springs, CO). https://guthriessportsbar.com
This family-owned Colorado Springs sports bar has been knocking it out of the park for years, with loads of big screens to watch the game on. They've got a reputation for being a top spot to catch the World Cup in 2026, and their house-smoked wings are a real treat. Again they're a general sports bar, so they might not always be showing soccer
The best soccer bars in the Mountain West (Colorado, Utah, etc.) are supporter homes through and through - places that feel like home away from home. The strongest are club and supporter-group venues: The Celtic on Market and The British Bulldog for the Colorado Rapids and their Centennial 38, Stout Street Bulldogs, and AO Denver supporters, and Piper Down, Poplar Street, and Flanker as Real Salt Lake watch-party venues. Add the Premier League homes (The Abbey Tavern for Liverpool in Denver, Celtic & Fiddler's for Arsenal and Legends for Tottenham in Salt Lake City) and traditional rooms like Pints Pub, and you have a verified map of where to watch the action across both Mountain West MLS markets. With the Rapids drawing record-breaking crowds to MLS games and Real Salt Lake anchoring a huge following in Salt Lake, these clubs are the hubs for fans to gather, even though neither city will host any world cup matches in 2026. Use the below FAQ as your guide for kickoff times and all the supporter info you need .. and be sure to drop a line in the comments if you know of a soccer bar in the Mountain West that we should be on the lookout for next.

You'd struggle to find a better place than The Celtic on Market in LoDo - that is if you count being the official home of the Colorado Rapids' biggest supporters group, the Centennial 38, & ranked as one of the top 10 sports bars in the country for watching the World Cup as a major plus . They've got a massive 40+ screens for the big games, because you don't want to miss a single second. Another spot worth a visit is The British Bulldog - they're good for early starts & are the home turf for the Rapids' Stout Street Bulldogs and AO Denver supporters groups. Yep, they're open by 5:00am on big game days!
If you're after some Real Salt Lake action, then check out either Piper Down in the Ballpark district and Poplar Street downtown - both are official RSL watch-party venues. Another great spot is Flanker, near the Delta Center - they've got a huge multi-level setup showing every RSL match. And for the ultimate RSL experience, you can catch the team in action at America First Field in Sandy, just south of downtown Salt Lake City.
In Denver, The British Bulldog is always worth a visit - especially when it comes to early kickoffs - they open at 5am for those 5:30am kickoffs. The Abbey Tavern on the other hand is always showing Liverpool games. In Salt Lake City, Fiddler's is basically the Utah Gooners' Arsenal headquarters, while the Legends sports bar has all the SLC Spurs & Aston Villa games on - and they've got more screens in the metro than just about anywhere else. Saturday mornings at 10am bring a Sunday brunch and a few morning matches at Poplar Street are also worth checking out.
Unfortunately no - we didn't get chosen as a 2026 host city. But Denver's got plenty to offer. We actually saw the Colorado Rapids draw a massive crowd of 75,824 against Inter Miami in 2026 - that's the second-largest crowd at any MLS game. And to celebrate the tournament they built a fun free fan zone at Skyline Park with some big screens for the tournament.
We're in the Mountain zone, so if you want to catch the early kickoffs, you'll need to be up early - Saturday Premier League matches kick off around 5:30 am, 8 am & 10:30 am Mountain time. So if you're planning on watching, check out opening times for The British Bulldog (5 am), Legends (10 am), and Poplar Street which also opens in the late morning.
